134+ Wallpaper Engine Using A Lot Of Gpu

Anyone run into issue with wallpaper engine using a fairly high amount of cpu ram usage.

Wallpaper engine using a lot of gpu. Some here using a gtx 1080 in a video wallpaper the gpu usage still around 45 is a lot of resource for a simple video. I use a 2x 1080p monitors with video wallpapers and it barely touches 3 cpu usage on my i7 7700hq with 10 ish usage on the intel gpu video engine. High gpu usage misconception.

During full screen applications wallpaper engine will pause the animations to save impact on other apps. Right now it s using up roughly 50 cpu amd fx 8 core 4 50ghz and 20 ram 16gb i m pretty sure thats a touch higher than it should be. The gpu usage ignores the power state and clock rate of the graphics card which makes it extremely inaccurate and usually shows a much higher gpu usage.

Hi i wonder if this app will use gpu or cpu to keep the wallpapers running. It is wallpaper dependant. Web wallpapers tend to use more cpu and gpu.

Apparently 4k wallpapers crack up the usage. However these were on the more intensive interactive wallpapers. Use a video type wallpapers for low cpu gpu usage.

Dec 24 2017 9 46am. The windows task manager does not show the real gpu usage in most cases which is the cause for a lot of confusion. It depends on your wallpaper s type.
