Can you paint over flocked wallpaper. Simply add a thin line of clear caulk around the perimeter of the walls at the joint seam where the paper meets the floor and ceiling. Can you paint over flocked wallpaper. Wallpaper is challenging to remove.

Painting over it is no short term solution. Preparing the paper is key. The 2 biggest drawbacks are 1 the moisture from the paint may cause the paper to lift it spots sometimes it will lay back down when dry 2 it will make the paper even harder to remove at a later date.
Painting over wallpaper isn t recommended. If you are painting over a strong colour crown basecoat will prevent it from showing through the finished job. Cutting in use a 2 inch brush to cut in at the edges.

The flocked wallpaper has fuzzy flower type designs and a goldish background. But if you like the texture of your embossed wallpaper but don t like the color you can paint over it and retain the embossed look. One if you want to take the paper down eventually it s best to just bite the bullet and do that now.
